Abstract：
More than 50% of the world population now lives in cities and the trend continues to increase in this century. However, it is a challenging task to represent the multiple temporal and spatial scales of various chemical and physical processes in the urban environment. In addition, influence of the turbulent atmospheric boundary layer needs to be represented properly in regional weather and climate models over urban areas. This talk is about how to address such challenges from the perspective of using building-resolved large-eddy simulations.
个人简介：
李锜，博士，美国康纳尔大学助理教授。2011-2016年，李锜博士在美国普林斯顿大学获得博士学位，主要从事有关复杂地表条件下动量和标量物质的传输的研究，随后就职于美国哥伦比亚大学（2016-2018），利用高分辨率数值模拟的方法研究莫宁-奥布霍夫相似理论的偏离问题。2018年至今，李锜以助理教授的身份就职于美国康奈尔大学，研究兴趣包括：大气边界层（边界层湍流，自然环境下流体结构的相互作用），城市环境（城市热岛，污染物扩散，城市可持续发展），计算流体动力学（大涡模拟，直接数值模拟）。李锜博士已在《Journal of Agricultural and Forest Meteorology》（一区，Top），《Geophysical. Research Letter》（一区，Top），《Journal of Computational Physics》（二区，Top），《International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer》（二区，Top）, 《Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans》（二区，Top）等国际知名学术期刊发表论文十余篇。
